Rangefinder's 30 Rising Stars of Wedding Photography 2019
Today is a special day for us. We are so grateful to God for the favour and growth and even more for bringing our way amazing couples that have in the last 5 years trusted us to tell their wedding stories. Stories that became priceless artwork in their lives and for generations to come.

We are so grateful for those who have sharpened us over the years and even gave us the opportunity to practice with them.

We are honored to be one of Rangefinder’s 30 Rising Stars of Wedding Photography in 2019.

We are the first photographers’ in 30 Rising Star history to be based in Africa.

This is Rangefinder’s eighth year with the 30 Rising Stars.

But you may ask, who is Rangefinder?

Rangefinder is a 65-year-old professional photography magazine that delivers a monthly print about wedding and portrait photography and is also the Official magazine of Wedding and Portrait Photographers International (WPPI).

The prestigious list recognises and honors wedding photographers who, consciously or not, are creating an indelible mark on the industry.

Every June, all kinds of industry editors, photographers, agents and consultants nominate wedding photographers from around the world for consideration to be chosen for the year’s list.

The nominees submit 30 images that wholly represent their signature as a wedding photographer.

When the editorial and creative staff at Rangefinder is judging these submissions, they look for compelling narratives, consistent technique, visual cohesion and diverse subject matter, sourced from all parts of a wedding day, shot with an artistic flair grounded in truth. The caveat is that each of the 30 Rising Stars must have been shooting weddings full-time for only five years or less.

Every year the judges encounter perspectives that are unlike any they’ve seen, and the pool of talent has grown increasingly international since the competition’s beginnings. In earlier years of the competition, the vast majority of nominated and chosen photographers were based in the U.S., but that scale has truly tipped. It include all kinds of countries from several continents around the world.

The 30 Rising Stars are emerging photographers—educators and mentors of the future—who show promise in taking the aesthetics of wedding photography to new places.

Here are the 30 images that we submitted for consideration.
